Louisiana Sportsman Show to hold Kid’s Fishing Tournament
Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Bring your kids to the big pond at the Lamar Dixon Center on Saturday morning and enter them in our first Kid’s Fishing Tournament!
We’re taking advantage of a very large pond filled with bass, crappie, bream and catfish just waiting to be caught. What a better way to start the day than to take your kid fishing for a couple of hours before coming to the Sportsman Show?
Prizes will be awarded for total weights in 3 different categories – so there’s plenty of chances to win.
Trinity Outdoors Disables Adventures will weigh in the fish as soon as they are caught, take score and release them back into the pond to be caught another day.
Winners will receive rod and reel combos and beautiful plaques. See below for more info.

Kids ages 2-16 can participate for FREE!

What to bring:
Your fishing pole and tackle. You are welcome to bring bait
Schedule:
- 8 a.m.-9 a.m.- On-Site Registration/Check In
- 9 a.m.-11 a.m. – Kid’s Fishing Tournament
- 1 p.m. – Awards Ceremony
Tournament Divisions:
- Kids – 12 and under
- Teens 13-16
Prizes: Rod and reel and plaque will be awarded to heaviest total weight in each category
Categories:
- Bass Total Weight
- Panfish (including bream and crappie)Total Weight
- Catfish Total Weight
Weigh-in: Fish for bass, bream, crappie or catfish. Bring fish to be weighed in as soon as it is caught.
